King School’s PTO is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that supports the schools mission of “Keeping The Dream Alive Everyday.” We are a membership organization that welcomes all parents and guardians of King School students and all school faculty, all of whom are automatically members. Members are entitled to one vote on any issue before a general membership meeting of the PTO. The vote will be decided by a majority of members present at a given meeting.

Co-President – Sara Schneidewind
Sara Schneidewind has a 4th grader (Emma) and a 5th grader (Molly) at King. She also has a 7th grader at Clague (Lucy). Sara has enjoyed being active with various PTO events at King during the past 7 years and is looking forward to a great year with the PTO as the President. She welcomes all families to the King School community and hopes to facilitate participation and involvement in the PTO.
Co-President – Jennifer McNamara
Jennifer has a daughter in 2nd grade at King. She has been involved with with the PTO for the last two years and various events at King. Jennifer works at the University of Michigan Health System in cardiovascular research.
Vice President – Alfhildur Kristjansdottir
Alfhildur Kristjansdottir has a daughter (Emilia) in Kindergarten at King as well as two King alumni, (Karl) 6th grader at Clague and (Kristin) freshman at Huron. Alfhildur has helped with various PTO events since 2008 and is looking forward to a fun year at King.
Secretary – Kate Delaney
Treasurer – Brian Weisman
Brian Weisman has a 5th grader (Kelsey) and 6th grader (Aria) attending Clague. Brian has a financial advisory firm in downtown Ann Arbor and is a CFA, CFP and CPA. He has served on a number of non-profit boards, often as treasurer, including AATA, the Shelter Assocation and the Arbor Hospice Foundation.
Assistant Treasurer – Charlie Cook
Charlie Cook is a CPA and a registered Investment Advisor Representative. She lives in Ann Arbor with her husband and their baby and works at a financial advisory firm downtown.
PTO Council Representative – Beth Grzelak-Lee
Beth has a 5th grader (Sophie), and an 8th grader (Dylan; a former King student). Beth has a long history in education, first as a middle school teacher, and then as a teacher educator. She currently works with Ford Next Generation Learning, helping high schools implement college- and career-readiness academies. She welcomes all new families to King.
