About Us
King School’s PTO is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that supports the schools mission of “Keeping The Dream Alive Everyday.” We are a membership organization that welcomes all parents and guardians of King School students and all school faculty, all of whom are automatically members. Members are entitled to one vote on any issue before a general membership meeting of the PTO. The vote will be decided by a majority of members present at a given meeting.

Tiffany Walther, President
Tiffany Walther grew up attending AAPS and is excited for her children to do the same. She has a Kindergartener and a 3rd grader at King. This will be her 3rd year serving on the PTO Board, and she looks forward to continuing working with the school and the King Community as the PTO President. She enjoys taking her children to the pool, family movie nights, and dinners out with friends. She is also active in her children’s theater group as well as her neighborhood association. She has previously worked as a Mechanical Engineer for Toyota in Ann Arbor, and Life Fitness in Chicago.
Katie Dobbie, Vice-President
Katie Dobbie will be entering her 3rd year as a King parent and her 2nd as King PTO vice president. She has 3 daughters, her oldest is entering 2nd grade, her middle one young 5’s, and her youngest can’t wait to join her sisters in a couple of years. She enjoys being an active volunteer in the classroom and school community. She obtained her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Michigan and currently works part-time as a home health clinician. She loves traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She is looking forward to another wonderful year with the King staff and students, working together to promote an enriched environment for all!
Ann Lin, Secretary
Ann Lin has been a King parent since 2015. This will be Ann’s second year on the King PTO Board. Ann has a 1st grader and 4th grader at King as well as an 8th grader at Clague. Before moving to Ann Arbor, Ann was the Executive Assistant to the Executive Director of BARCS, a nonprofit animal shelter and adoption center in Baltimore, Maryland.
Betzy McCarty, Treasurer
This is Betzy’s first year on the King PTO Board. This will be her third year at King with an incoming 3rd grader and 5th grader. She moved here two years ago from Illinois where served on the PTO Board at her son’s school for 2 years as the after school enrichment director. Before her boys were born she taught high school art in the Chicago Public School District for six years. The arts will always be very near and dear to her heart. She hopes to one day get back into the classroom but right now she’s excited to be serving the King community as its new Treasurer.
